The honeymoon....eek! That is something I probably won't get to do (unless I win of course ..; ) but I would love to go somewhere fabulous!....so yeah.. that would be something I wanna splurge on!.....

OH! Goodness...with the amount of money they are offering for a wedding... I think we could splurge on EVERYthing...lol.....(suddenly feeling very greedy...*grin*)

I don't really know exactly how the "Free $50,000 Wedding" is given out, if we have to choose from certain things or what ...... but I would love to be able to just create a celebration that makes you want to ..well......celebrate!; ) I have been to alot of weddings where people just sorta drifted off really early in the reception...
but I want the kind of wedding where people start relaxing at the reception...slipping off shoes... eating too much ...LAughing ...talking.......dancing....(of course I dont want a kegger party...lol) But just the kind of party where we have to push people out at the end of the night because they are having so much fun ....: )

So I want to spend money on things that will make the wedding special.....a day not only for me and my fiance but truly a day to just celebrate .... : ) (Dunno how to achieve this magical moment just yet....*grin*...but I am working on ideas...lol)

Dang it! You got me started..... now I feel like kicking back and watching " A Wedding Story" on TV.... LOL

*hahaha* You are too funny! I know how you feel though! I have been working with a budget that is only about 12% of what they are giving away... I honestly don't know what I would do with it all. I don't think I could possibly spend it all. We're shooting for the same kind of atmosphere though... more of a "party/celebration" than "wedding." Since our wedding date is on Mother's Day we wanted to do something special for all the mothers that will be there... that one is going to take a little more thought though ;-) I actually have a "wish list" of things that I would do if I could that I created when we first got engaged. Only if........

Well Here Goes,

I would love to have a blowout reception with wonderfull food and extravagent favors for all of our guests. Champagne flowing all night long. Dancing all night long. I would love a fireworks display that blows away the Fourth of July!!!!!

Then, after recuperating from the reception, I would love to be whisked away to a honeymoon location where there are beaches and beautiful golf courses!!!!
(we love golf).

It would be great!!!!

Karaoke !!!!! I love it !!!! I would just want to have a day that we will all remember and it doesnt even have to be the whole 50grand just enough to make me and my fiance have the ability to celebrate with all those we love and to give them back some of the happiness they have given to us ...I know to some that sounds cheesy but thats how I feel ..........I love balloons and flowers so I would like for them to be alot of that and a great dance area with lots and lots of twinkling white lights .A high energy mix of music so that will get everyone moving .......I have always wanted to have one of those disney weddings .So if I can close my eyes and dream right now thats what I would want ....To be able to take my kids and family and a few close friends and go to Disney World and have the wedding like Cinderella and Prince Charming .......( I always call him my prince and everyone around us says that even after 3 years we are more in love then ever and our love is so pure that its like a fairy tale .....then there are those that get around us and go into suger shock from all the sweetness they say ...lol)

Anyway even if we couldnt do the Disney thing the one thing that I would want is the glass carriage .If I had to get married in blue jeans and was only allowed to pick one thing that would be it .....to ride off in the sunset with my prince in Cinderellas carriage with all the footmen ..............To me that would be the ultimate wedding .....of course with a little sign in the back that says "and they lived happily every after " ........Ok I am waking up now....lol.........This was a great idea and I cant wait to read more ideas.! Jackie that is a fabulous dream!!!! I can just picture it! I asked my maid of honor what she woud do and this is what she came up with:

She would have her wedding on a cruise ship... she would take all her guests with her on this cruise except she and her new husband would get off of the ship somewhere in the carribean when it took all the guests back home. Then they would get onto a yacht that would finish out their honeymoon! She doesn't ask for much *haha*

A private yacht with me and my new husband and no kids in the middle of the carribean ?..........Oh boy I couldnt do that ......so much relaxation and peace and quiet .......I wouldnt want to come home and our kids would think we abandoned them .....Well my boys anyway his are teenagers and when they run out of money for all the party's they would throw when we are gone then they might realize something is up....LOL......anyway that saounds great ..............Make ky drink a pina colada with a big slice of pineapple and a bright umbrella ............Have a good day

Well here is goes,
If I won I would have to start my wedding early in the day, say 10 or 11ish, so we could have tons of things planned to make this day the best day of my life! After the church ceremony we could have a couple of trollies take our closest friends and family members around town for pictures at different places, and also to make sure we stop at the graves of my father, his mother, and a best friend that would have been the bestman. At the graves we could have uhaul trucks filled with heilium balloons waiting for us when we get there and everyone could let one go in remembrance that we wish they could be here. We would also have to stop at the place that we met, the state fair that should be going on that time of year, and do something special there. Then it would probably be time to head over to the dinner and reception where I would want at a hotel so people that have far to drive or have a little too much to drink wouldn't have to drive home that night, and everyone could join us for brunch the next day to open gifts. The main things I would splurge on would have to be the food(steak and lobster would be nice), cake(at least 3 tiers- each a different flavor), and pictures(tons of them). Pictures say a thousand words!! And finally a honeymoon somewhere on or by the ocean, any ocean since I've never been to one(seeing I live in Wisconsin smack in the middle of the country), and would definently spend some time in it swimming with the dolphins somewhere would be a dream!

Valerie.... yes! The ocean is perfect for a honeymoon: ) I live only an hour from the beach and I can say from experience that the ocean makes you feel so free .... and it just breathes new life into you: )
