Teen Party Ideas

Cool party ideas for young teens? My soon-to-be 14 year old daughter is desperate for some party games that don't cost a lot of money (none) and don't require her parents to drive all over town getting stuff.

She's invited 30-35 boys and girls mostly aged 13 for this Saturday night. She says they'll play Truth or Dare because it's "interesting". Ahem. She is wracking her brains and ours trying to come up with other fun stuff for them to do that's not lame.

She says the kids are kind of shy about dancing with each other so we need games to break the ice.

Please, a desperate parent cries out for your help!

Hey well im 15 and yeah here is a kool game you can play. Give a list to everyone at the party and the list will be a list of things you need to do before the end of the party.(Like a scavenger hunt) but instead of stuff you have to find its more like stuff you have to do, like give someone a hug, or push someone in a pool, or just something like that.
Another game is the orange game. Its were you pash a orange around in the circle using your neck.
Another game is suck and blow, you take a credit card or any type of card and you have to pass it around with your mouth, but its not like your kissing the person cuz the card would be between them(unless you drop it)

My daughter is turning 13 and wanted to do something different for her 13th birthday. She absolutely loves staying in a hotel so I decided to check around the area where we live and found a hotel for $54/night with an indoor pool. I`m taking her and three of her friends to stay the night at the hotel, swim in the indoor pool, play games, eat pizza and cake and junk food, watch movies, etc. The hotel serves continental breakfast so I won`t have any added expense for the next morning. My daughter is so excited and can`t wait until her birthday. I came to this site to get some ideas on games we can play at the hotel. I found a couple that were interesting we might try. Thanks.

Try this game. Warning it gets pretty loud but its fun. Its called "screaming ninja". Its best played with about ten people in a huge circle. If theres more people it gets funner but its hard ot keep track of things.

Form a circle where youre facing eachother and then one person starts off with an imaginary ball and he "throws" it at someone. The person recieving it has to katchit and make a "ninja sound" . It may sound simple but thats not all there is to it. The people on either side of the person "catching" the "ball" has to cut there arms across the person in the middle as if they are going tohit them. (dont actually hit them it hurts if you do it right) and make sounds as well. Then the person who "caught" the "ball" has to pick someone else to throw it too. The game continues. The catch is that if someone misses a beat i.e. Doesn`t catch the ball, doesn`t make a sound or doesnt swing across to "hit" the catcher next to them, they are out. The circle then gets smaller untill there are only two players left. This is when the real fun begins.

Have fun laughing and enjoy trying to figure the best way to play this game for what you have in mind.

Let me know how it goes please

Ok so i think u need some ideas from another teen...

One of my personal favorites, since there are so many people coming, i`m not sure of the name but this is how u play:
Have chairs set out for all the girls, hint:if you have more girls than boys the extras will be paired up,
Pair up the children in sets of two girl boy
Then have the girls sit in the chairs and there parteners stand behind them.
There needs to be 1 empty chair with a boy behind it.
That boy will wink at one of the girls then the girl he winked at should try to run over and sit in his chair
If the guy she is paired up with notices the wink, then when she tries to move he touches her shoulders.
Although if she gets away her ex-partener is the next winker.

Just an idea that we did at my 12th birthday. If the kids don`t mind getting wet, a good game is called Pass the Ice. This game is where you take one large cup and fill it up with ICE water. Play music and have everyone pass it around. Randomly stop the music and whoever has the cup has to pour it over their head!

Well...being a 14 year old..turning 15 in a few days... I`d have to say that a fun, in-expenxive game is "lifesavers" what you do is you split up everyone in to 2 groups...then you give everyone a toothpick and the person on the end a life saver... Each team has to pass the lifesaver all the way to the other end with only the toothpick. They`re hands have to be behind their back.

Give everybody three pieces of paper have them wrie a diffrent name on each and something you want them to do then you all stick the papers in a bowl and draw each person has 5 times to say no other than that its a do or pretty much do situation . This game is totaly fun and so cheap . 3.Youcould totaly play sharades write something for people to do on paper then have them act it out and have every one have a hoot! I know these games will be a blast at this party ! after playing these games turn on a movie and let everybody chill. Then stick on some music and dance the night away, and give her a 80`s theme!!!! so cool and so fun!

Since Im askin for advice I might as well give some too. Though they might be weird. (thats kinda why im askin you guys) ..
I thought of maybe baking your own birthday cake. It would be really fun and a food fight will probably break out. Knowing my friends, it`ll probably turn out burnt or really disgusting but that makes it funnier. Last year, I had a color theme. I told everyone they had to wear a certain color, and a lot of it. One of my friend came in layers and layers of yellow. Then the person with the most got a prize and everyone voted for who put the most effort and that person won a prize too. Then i had a puzzle treasure hunt. You split everyone into teams and you make `em hunt for puzzle peices of their color. (I painted them and hid them before they came). The team who finishes their puzzle first wins.

I hope I helped out a bit.

At one of my birthday parties, my mom and my friends mom was there, and my dad and sisters were hanging out at the same friends house wtih her dad. My got bored and decided to go toilet papering. My frinds mom went to get some toilet paper at her house, and told my dad and her hubby, that the were going to toilet paper there house. We went to there house and started toilet papering it, and all the girls thought that it was the really weird girls house that was always bugging them. What happened was that my friends dad jump out at the girls with the hose, and started spraying them. It was really fun and we ran all the home. Lol. Bye!

My soon to be 14 years old daughter is planning to have a party at home and is planning to invite around 12 to 14 girls aged 13 to 15 years. She wants some games ideas which don`t cost anything and do not require running around town to prepare and are fun and interesting for the age group mentioned, and are not lame games. She wants the party to be on for 3 to 5 hours long, which will include time for either lunch or dinner, Cake cutting and gift openning. She has not decided wheather she will have a day time party or evening party. The party is for the last week of this month. Please help ASAP.
THANKYOU.

Your duaghter sounds just like me i am going to be 14 october 27 and i am having a party october 30th and most of the kids at my school arent to scared to dance with each other . So thats not a worry for me but what i suggest for you duaghter is to invite a bunch of people that get along so they go write into talking. But be sure she has the music on before everyone gets there. It has always worked for me and it might just work for her.
