I am afraid that you are wrong. Many women discuss the pros and cons of birth control on this board. It seems to be a very popular subject. While it may not be a integral part of the wedding, it is a huge part of many MARRIAGES. I understand that some people do not support the use of birth control, however that does not make it an inappropriate subject. Obviously this woman is very concerned about her health and her ability to conceive. Perhaps this message board will allow her to be enlightened about her situation. After all, this site is about women helping other women.

Thank you, it is also a huge part of the honeymoon. And what you do now can and often does affect you later.

I would talk to your doctor. That would probably be the best place to go.

My shot was out of my system a lot sooner than what teh doctors said it would be and I got pregnant and didn`t know it, I ended up losing that baby and it took me about a year and a half to get pregnant again.
My periods were like that too. When i first got it after my first son was born I bleed for 8 months straight and all of a sudden my periods stopped. I spotted once in awile. I haven`t taken the shot in about 4 years and though I am able to conceive, yet another miscarriage, the rest of me is still wrong. Y periods are still abnormal, I am still tired and moody, no sex drive and CANNOT get rid of the30 pounds I gained from it.

I understand completly, I`ve gained about 35 pounds while on the shot as well. I just hope everything will straghtin up. Good Luck to you.

Supportive, who said this message board is only for women? There are apparently lots of men posting on here as well, for one thing. Also someone who needs advice about health issues is definitely going to get much better advice somewhere else. There are already tons of posts on here about Depo anyway. It really is totally out of place here. Not necessarily inappropriate. Just out of place.

I was also on the shot but I was on it for 5 years. I didn`t have any problem getting periods back and I conceived 6 months after being off on it. I did read that it can take up to two years for everything to get back to normal and to be able to conceive again. You may want to get checked out just in case.

I also had the shot, and while my periods and moods returned to normal straight away, I too cannot shed the weight I gained while on it. Also, I don`t think there`s anything wrong with this topic on the message board. For me, my weight has made a HUGE impact on how i feel aobut my wedding, adn my honeymoon. I was a size 10 ( I`m in Australia, so i don`t know the size scale anywhere else) and now I`m a size 16. So it has really effected how I feel about my body image inregards to my wedding and photos, and honeymoon.

However, my fiance still says i`m the most beautiful girl in the world.... That`s what it`s all about, your wedding is about you, and the man who thinks you are the most beautiful girl in the world, no matter what your size is.

I am not looking for someone to argue with and I do admit that the site is not just for women. But you were basically attacking "upset" for no reason. Its almost as if you were looking for someone to argue with. If you feel the post is out of place, then don`t read it. The subject line read DEPRO. If you don`t want to read posts about Depro, don`t open them. Do like everyone else on this site and read the ones that interest you and pass over the others that don`t.
