Before Or After Pictures With A Wedding

I am getting married next August in Nashville Embassy Suites and we have already booked our photographer, but I have some issues that I need second opinions from past brides on. I am kinda traditional in the sense that I always wanted to have my husband to be see me at that moment I walk down the aisle. But I hear taking pictures beforehand together eases tension and is better on time and everything. Any suggestions cuz either way I would be a nervous wreck trying to get things situated?? Tips please........
