Best Man Wedding Question
We are having a very small family wedding in another state (at the beach) is it proper to ask the groom`s father to be the best man (family members are the only guests to be present) Thank You!

OH YES, I am sure he would consider it a great honor! I have been to a couple of wedding who did that the dad was sooo proud to be the one choosen. A great idea!!

I am not sure of what the “Etiquette Police” will say but I think it’s an honor for a family member to be asked. My fiancé has asked my 13 year old son to be his best man, he was so flattered he opted to be his best man instead of giving me away.

I have seen many weddings (on TLC "Wedding Story") where the father was the best man. They all considered it to be a GREAT honor. They were all really moved by being asked. I say go for it.
Congratulations on your wedding.
