Dye A Dress?
Hi. I purchased 2 gowns for my wedding. I`m wearing the more bridal silk one. The other is polyester sheath. I`m thinking of having it shortened and dyed so that it will look more like a party/holiday dress. Anyone ever have a dress professionally dyed? any idea of the cost/difficulty? Thanks!

WHEN YOU DYE A DRESS THE FABRIC WILL NEVER BE THE SAME IN FACT MOST COMPANIES HAVE GOTTEN AWAY FROM DOING THIS TYPE OF SERVICE BECAUSE THE OUT COME IS USUALLY A DISASTER.YOUR BETTER OFF LEAVING IT ALONE.

I am a wedding conultant and i had a customer who had to send her dress to California for it to be dyed and it shrunk. DON`T DO IT.
