Debi, I would suggest trying to look for a photographer that`s fairly inexpensive so you don`t spend your day worrying about them getting the right shots. I have been to weddings where a photographer has not been hired and the couple end up with bad pics taken by family. Try looking for someone that`s good but cheap! And just have family and friends take candid photos of eachother to share, but do invest in a photographer, it`s the only way to guarantee "no mistakes"! Good luck

My sister was married about 5 years ago and didn`t hire a photographer. She designated a few family members to take pictures. All of them had something wrong. They were fuzzy or too dark or not centered. She said that that was the worst thing she did to try to save money. She has no wedding album due to the fact that some of the family kept their pictures as their own keepsakes. I know for my upcomming wedding a minor fortune is being paid so that we will have great pictures of our day. I don`t live in your area but just look in your local phone book and I am sure there is a generous list of professional photographers ready and willing to work with you.
Good luck!!

I can`t afford 2500.00 for pictures. I`m making my dress, beautiful, and my cake, yummy... I can`t do it all...... Help...if anyone knows of someone who will work cheaply, i`ll feed them well, meet some nice girls, or guys and get paid. They can just take the pic`s i`ll print them and even give them some prints for their porfolio. Please help me

I don`t know for sure, but I have heard others in the past suggest photography students from local colleges. You could strike up a good deal with a willing student. Of course you won`t get professional quality pictures (well, you might!), but they will be better quality than family and friends photos, and pretty inexpensive to boot. It might be worth a try to look into it.
