Adding A Bustle
My seamstress insists the bustle on my wedding gown needs only one hook. This " bustle" does not display the sequins, pearls and crystals on the chapel-length train. Instead the bustle is hooked onto the back of my dress below the corset, where the bow is. I don`t think she knows how to bustle my dress. My dress is a Maggie Sottero. I would appreciate an E-mail if you have any suggestions My wedding is July 18.

I`m not sure how your budget is for this. But mine was tight. I called around several alteration shops in my area and they all told me it would be $45-$80. The last place I called was a local bridal boutique here in town and they gave me the # of a woman that does wedding alterations out of her home. She got me in the next day and I was able to pick my dress up in less than a week. She only charged $15. She put 2 hooks under the skirt where there was easy access and little loops on the train and fixed the zipper. She did amazing work and swore it would not fall. So I suggest you just call around to different shops. You never know what you will come across.
Congradulations on your wedding.

I had a cathedral length gown and a single bustle would have never worked. My seamstress did what she called a double bustle and it turned out great! So I KNOW you dont just have to have one hook for the bustle.
Hope this helps you ;)
