Just been invited to a "Briss"
What in the world is a briss??? Do I need to bring anything? Do I need to do anything special? It's for a friend's new born little boy.

Hi Megan :)
A briss is the circumcision ceremony performed on a newborn baby boy in the Jewish religion. It usually takes place within the first week of the baby's birth. You do not have to do anything "special" but keep in mind that this is a pretty big deal to the people involved. When I attended one about a year ago I took a nice card and a little present for the little guy... but not everyone did, so I don't think it's required. I, basically, think that your presence is the "gift." Anyone else feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!
