I am still debating a masquerade theme... We are getting married in Feb 2005, then jetting off to Venice for Carnivale. I want to hold a slightly formal wedding, and would love to do it in a masquerade theme since my fiance and his family are Italian, but we are still deciding details.

I did find great formal invitations, very elegant, a black mask with a white feather... They also have lots of decorating items. I too wanted not to do the Marti Gras theme, but a Ventian Masquerade theme, but I am not finding much help.

Anyone with Venitian Masquerade ideas, or places to find not so traditional wedding gowns... Please email lynetteworks@yahoo.com/

Hi - Sorry I do not have any deas for the wedding, but an idea would be to watch old movies that have masqueraid balls in them and you might get some great ideas. My question for you is, I am looking for sites and I am wondering what the name of the castle is. That the wedding is at.
Thanks, CHris

As party favors, you can give away those masquarade party mask or use them as an added decoration on your floral arrangement. I`ve seen the masks at wholesale party websites.

I am having a Venetian Masquerade wedding in April 2005.

I am having it in a castle in NY. I am doing a black tie affair no one actually has any idea of my theme. Everything is being done there so after my ceremony everyone is lead to a downstairs crystal room and as they come back upstairs to enter for the dinner I am having ushers handing out the mask & boas for the women and stick mask for men. We tried to incorporate a few touches since I am Latin and my fiancée is Italian. I am having men hand roll cigars.
Also, the place card holders are of mask. For my guest gifts I did bottles of wine that I just order through a vendor and who is giving them to me at 30% off per case, as for the wine labels I got them on a website and got to pick the color and style. I also got the bottle stoppers to attach to the bottles with French ribbon.
Try to add a couple of your own personal ideas to give it flare I dont think that people are going to really wonder if your theme flows or not. I personally love the change up that people do to there weddings.
