Engagement Ring Question

I wore mine during the ceremony.

It is usually customary to wear the engagement ring on the right ring finger, and then slip it behind the wedding ring after the ceremony.

Ultimately you can do it however you would like.
But usually, you just wear your engagement ring and then he slides on the wedding band at the ceremony. Later you can switch the two rings, so the band is behind the engagement ring.
There is one problem I see with this theory though, and that is if your band is a "wrap" style, meaning the engagement ring fits into the band. In that case, my suggestion would be forego wearing the engagement ring and let him put it on your finger with the two together.
