We feel that we need to clear a few points:
A person can vote ONE time only. The system will not let anyone vote more than once. We do have a track on each and every vote.
All of us here at PartyPop take this contest and your stories very seriously, and this is the reason that we decided to delay the date to January 2 and open the voting to the public.
Remember! Besides your friends and families, there are thousands of viewers out there that log-on to PartyPop, read your stories and vote.
We care about those thousands votes as well as your friends votes. Those viewers who vote do not know you and are giving an honest vote. The amount of those viewers is so great that “ popularity votes” has no effect on the overall score.
The score number that you see next to the stories is an average scoring. This voting is not the final decision; the final decision will come from the committee at PartyPop with the help of this voting.
We received great stories and we wished that all of you could win a free wedding, but unfortunately we do not live in a dream world.
For those whose stories are not on the list: you have received our email, please update your stories, you have been given another chance!

I'm not too sure how I feel about the changes, but I want to make sure a few things are clear: is the deadline Jan. 2 or 5th??? and is what your saying is that even if someone have the highest average score on the end date, that doesn't exactly mean they will be the winner, that you could for some reason give it to someone else??? And are there going to be any more changes in the future?? ???????

I think what they mean by saying that this voting will not be the final decision is that the purpose of this particular change is so that they can get the stories narrowed down. Obviously they had a very difficult time trying to decide who to choose and now they need the public's help in deciding the "finalists."
This is just my guess, and believe me, I was just as disappointed as anyone else to find out we have to wait another 2+ months to find out the winner. I guess I just look at it this way, I've been planning my wedding for about 6 months now on a very strict budget; should I, by some off chance, win this sucker I will be thrilled beyond explanation! If I do not win, however, I know that I have stuck to the little budget that I do have and I am marrying my best friend and true love. If I can do that, when it all comes down to it, THAT is what will make my wedding the best day of my life. Of course, just like every other little girl in the country, when I was growing up I too had dreams of bountiful roses and streach limos and musicians... and no where in those dreams are any of the problems that we have encountered along the way! Yes! Even if someone have the highest average score on the end date, that doesn't exactly mean they will be the winner!

PartyPop Committee will make the final decision by January 5.
The voting will be close by January 2 at midnight Pacific Time.
The winner will be notifying by January 6.

I thought the voting ended Friday and the judging by partypop ends in Jan. Now I am getting confused.

Thank-you for clearing that up, now I understand your
decision to add the voting and I think it will be fair and hope the most deserving will win!
One other question,
will we be able to update our stories after friday, or
will the be locked in??? Thanks again!!!
