Unfair changes

To whom it may concern,
I don’t know about anyone else, but I feel as though these new contest rules are wrong. How can you ask other brides want to win this so badly to vote on there peers who also want to win. It won’t work. Anyone can tell a friend, “vote for me!” Its funny how some people can start out with a good story and a good score and then end up with a 1.00 before the end of the day? I can’t vote against someone’s relationship and experiences and whether I feel that they are boring or not. All of the stories are great, and it is unfair for it to have to come out this way, after all the waiting and anticipating we had to go through. No sour grapes though, good luck to whom ever wins , I know it won’t be me because obviously my story wasn’t “interesting” enough.

I can see where you are coming from. I was interested in knowing something myself... let's say Jane Doe is a very popular young bride. She know's lots of kids in college and lots of people in general that can get her name out and about. Then there's Julie Doe, who doesn't know quite so many people. If all of Jane Doe's people come on and give Jane a perfect 10 and all of Julie's people come on and give her a perfect 10 as well that is 500 "10's" for Jane and 50 "10's" for Julie... therefore we see that both have an average of 10.

This is where I'm confused... If Jane's people see that Julie is a threat to their good friend Jane, what's to stop them from all going in and giving Julie a 1 to bring down her average? Thus totally throwing Julie out of the running?

I cannot agree with you more! I was extremely disappointed to learn that partypop turned this into a popularity contest. People are certainly not being fair and partypop needs to realize this and choose a winner that they feel is deserving of a free wedding as the original rules stated.

I agree with all of you. It's totally disappointing that this has turned into a popularity contest. By failing to make a decision, they turned people against each other which ruins the spirit of the contest.

If you notice, some of the best stories have ratings that are going down because of all the competition. I don't think it's even legal to change the rules of the contest at the end.

There's no way that people who come across the site are going to read each and every story. They may just read a couple and vote on those. If PartyPop were to have made a decision, they would have had to read all of them in order to make a fair decision.

So tell me how this NEW way is fair?
