R.S.V.P Cards

We are having our wedding in less than 1 month. Invitations went out about 3 weeks ago requesting responce before June 1st. I just tallied up who is comming and we only have 20 people total so far. We invited just under 100. I am really worried that our families are taking the responces for granted. Has anyone else been in this situation? I can just see us expecting about 30 people and 90 show up :( I don`t really want to spend hours calling each individual to see if they are attending. HELP!!!

If you sent RSVP cards with the invitations, then it is not nice of these people to not respond with either a "yes" or a "no". Can you ask your maid of honor or someone else to help you and call these people to get a tally on who is coming?

Unfortunately, many people procrastinate. Since my experience I am much more mindful of getting those responses back as soon as I can. In the meantime you can ask your MIL and your Mom to call a few close family members and tell them that your not getting responses back and wondering if they knew if so and so was coming and hopefully those few people will talk to a few more people. But really until June 1 st you really can`t do much. We probably got 50% of ours back the last few days (even though we had sent out Save The Date Cards out a full 8 months before our wedding! Good Luck and best wishes on your big day!

I just got married on May 15th, we received RSVP`s up until about 1 week prior. We also had a lot of people that did not RSVP and show up. We also have 42 say they were coming and not show up. People will only understand after they plan a wedding and pay for meals for people who don`t show up. I suggest you have someone help you to call the people who have not sent in the RSVP. Good luck.

Just call, if you can get some of your friends over on the weekend and ask them to bring their cell phones, espeically if they have free weekends, and just split the list and have everyone call. We did this for a list of about 200 people and about 7 people were calling, we finished in about an 1 hour...
