My suggestion would be to "intern" or assist someone else for a while and get real hands-on experience, referrals and recommendations. Get credits on your resume, create a relationship and trust and you may just keep that "employer" as a client when you open your office, assuming you've been a good worker. Be loyal, attentive and inventive when working with others, and get into the "team" spirit of brainstorming and learning. When you go into business for yourself, you'll be glad you "trained" on someone elses' dime.
