My Boyfriend Proposed And Im Scared
My boyfriend proposed to me last night. Weve talked about what were going to do after we graduate from college and where were going to live and our kids and where we want to get married and everything and last night he asked me if I would marry him and for the first time I feel nervous and scared. We love each other so much and he makes me so happy. Im not sure if thats normal or not, but why am I scared now? I know hes the one I want to be with for the rest of my life but why would I get nervous now when I knew this was coming? I just want to make sure this is normal.

Monique, being scared is nothing abnormal. We always have in our head what we want, and dream about our future. But, once the dreams appear to come true, it`s easy to become nervous!! Marriage is a serious commitment, and it takes quite a bit of work. Also, being engaged means planning a wedding. That in itself can make anyone nervous! In short, being nervous and scared is completely normal. For me, once the planning got underway, my nervousness changed to excitement. Congratulations and have fun with the planning!

Shoot, I have two kids with my FH and I am still scared of the whole commitment thing! Marriage is completely different that dating/living together, but at the same time I cannot wait to be Mrs. Sanders and just have it over and done with.
I think being anxious, nervous and scared is what makes being engaged fun! You don`t realize how many feeling you can possibly have at one time until you are engaged and even more so on your weddign day!
