I am proud to say that I am not pregnant, and will not be pregnant when I walk down the aisle.

Amanda, Congratulations on your pregnancy!!
Chelsea, no need to judge. Amanda is excited, and was asking for support from other pregnant brides.

Beth, there was nothing judgmental in my post. Nothing wrong with me stating that I`m not pregnant, is there? You need to learn to read, and quit being so sensitive.

Chelsea, why not share in Amanda`s happiness? Congratulate her on her pregnancy instead of you sounding as if your rubbing in the fact that you will be walking down the isle not pregnant.
I am also planning my wedding, and although I am not pregnant, I have two children and I am proud to be a mother. Please remember that our lives don`t always work out in an exact order. In my case, I received the best two wedding gifts even before the wedding!!!
Amanda, I hope you have a beautiful wedding and a healthy beautiful baby!

My friend`s sister was pregnant when she walked down the aisle. Like yourself she was planning the event already when she became pregnant. I know there was a rush to push everything up a couple months.
She looked beautiful. She wore a strapless dress...which had one of those split pleats down the center. This helped make her belly less noticable ( you can`t tell she`s pregnant in pictures). Not that you should have to hide it...but I thought that might help.

Hey we are about the same time. When are you due?
We decided to move up the date to Sept so I wouldn`t be quite so far along.

I was 6 months pregnant when I went to Prom. I bought my dress before I knew but since I didn`t show, it worked out great. I did not start showing with either of my kids until I was about 7 1/2 months and I got huge with my first one all at once. My second one wasn`t too bad, and I delivered in my 8th month with both of them. Push our date up due to pregnancy? Oh,no, we have pushed it back by about 9 years!
Being pregnant is so much fun I think, it is the giving birth part that is a little stressful.
Good luck and congrats to all of you mothers and brides to be! Hope everything is exactly how you expected it to be!

We were actually planning on getting married May of `05 on our 6 year anniversary, lo and behold this past March we found out we were pregnant and moved the wedding date up accordingly. We will now be getting married this August instead, I`ll be just over 6 months along. While we would have rather been married first, we are still going to be happy and enjoy the blessing being given to us instead of worrying about what people will say and whether or not I will be showing.

Girls, i have to say that reading your responses made me feel so much better. Really.. My fiance and i are getting married in 5 months and we just found out we are about 5 weeks pregnant. We have been so worried about the whole idea of the wedding, our families and what to do, and now that we finally came up with our decision, reading your responses made me feel so much better. What did u do about ur gowns? my first fitting is tomorrow and i don`t know how much they will be able to take out. But thanks again!

Suzy- I am buying a whole new dress. They only have about 4 inches to let out on my current dress and that won`t work, so they are letting me return it for store credit. Don`t feel bad about it at all, its just another reason to celebrate (even though you have to be completly sober lol)
Good luck!

Suzy mine was tailor-made so I told her a head of time and our wedding is Rennaisannce(sp?) so the dress is empire waisted I really don`t have a problem letting it out.

PS Jennifer my Fi is NAVY too!!! Maybe we`ll be stationed at the same place sometime. I am ex-Navy so just let me know if you have ANY questions.

I`m pregnant too, due January 2nd, and we moved the wedding up a lot! Our original date was March 25, 2005 and we`re now getting married August 13. I hope I don`t grow too much before then. I didn`t have any problems with a dress because we are having a 1940`s themed wedding and I`m buying an old dress from a costume shop so I`ll alter it myself.

I will be 22 wks pregnant when we have our wedding (Sept 5th), I`m due January 3rd, 2005. My dress still fits but it`s getting a little tight in the belly. I hope I don`t pop out anymore before then. The dress hides the belly pretty good and most people know I`m pregnant anyways, so it really doesn`t matter. I was so scared at first getting married at 5 months but now I don`t mind at all. Everything is coming together quite nicely.

I was already planning my wedding when I found out I was pregnant. The date has been pushed up, and besides the rush of planning, things are going okay. It`s hard to balance work, wedding planning, prenatal visits and precana (sp?) sessions. I`ll be 25 weeks when I walk down the isle. After getting over the intial shock of "not doing things in the right order", I became overwhelmed with happiness and anticipation. Good luck to other expecting brides :)

I am 19 weeks pregnant and although we planned to get married on May `05. My parents just barely got the idea of me getting married. We are planning a kinda "rush" wedding. It will be nice but everything will have to be cut down. I wanted a wedding at church but have now opted for a chappel, a fancy reception will have to be a less fancy one. My baby is due June `05. So we rather save up for the baby.

Chelsea, you`re a witch as well as the other coward who wouldn`t leave her name to the message condemning us all for engaging in premarital sex. It happens. Grow up. And some people with the best intentions still end up with a surprise in their belly. Amanda, I am so happy for you and all the other pregnant brides. I just found out I`m one of you and although it`s hard at first to imagine a tight dress, sober wedding/honeymoon, and even more hormones messing with us at an already emotional time, we are the most beautiful brides ever because we`ll have that glow of love and family surrounding us when we walk down the aisle. Isn`t that what marriage is all about?

Hello i was just surfing looking for some tips on pregnant brides. I`m 22 yrs of age and I`m 3 months pregnant. I`m a bit scared to tell it to my family so my husband to be has been preparing and waiting for the right time. Even in my workplace things seems to be going complicated. I just find strength and comfort in the fact that my husband to be`s family is so excited about the baby and the wedding. I`ll be due this April `07 and we`re planning to get married this january `07.I came from a conservative family and thought i will not be pregnant before i get married. But i think that its not fair to judge brides who are pregnant, i think its noble to walk the aisle with the baby than have an abortion like other people do...God bless us all...
