Church Ceremony
My fiancé and I are planning to get married in the Church that we both attend. The problem is the pews are bright 1970 color orange. I really would not like them to be in pictures and it would really clash with my wedding colors. I thought about covering with fabric but that could get expensive. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Just a thought, maybe the church would let you guys (or a family member or friend) re-paint the pews a more neutral color. I`m sure a lot of the church members would appreciate it! (I personally love orange, but I realize most people don`t.) :) They might even give you a break on the fee (if there is one). My friend`s husband refinished the floor of the church they got married in in exchange for using the church for their wedding. It might be an option for you. Good luck!

Good idea but the orange on the pews are the fabric color not paint.

When people sit in the pews they will not be as noticeable because people will cover the color up.
I did wedding photography for several years and have seen my share of 1970s churches. You could have your photographer get creative and shoot just the front of the church at the altar to avoid getting the pews in the image.
Another option is to re-cover or mask only the first two or three rows (where you normally seat family). It is not uncommon for the family pews to be decorated differently than the rest of the church--and typically the first few pews are the only ones that might be visible in the photos.
Hope this helps,
Kristen

Oops, my bad.
I have to agree with Kristen, then... If people are sitting in the pews, the cushions probably won`t show up in the photos.

Check and see if the pews can be removed just for your ceremony. I know my church we are removing the pews and bringing in white wood chairs. Check with the Minister or Pastor to see if they would allow this.
