Meaning Of The Promise Ring

If a female has given a promise ring to her guy and they both purposed to each other, which hand or finger should he where it on? The ring looks like a wedding band with one diamond on it and we are afraid that people will think that he is married to someone, and we are engaged. Please help! ! ! ! !

He can wear it on his left ring finger. I bought my FH an engagement ring and he wore it on his left ring finger. IF anybody asked, explain. Men`s engagement rings are becoming more popular so it isn`t unusual to have a man wearing a ring. Since the wedding ring is usually a plain band or at least no diamonds than i think it will be clear of it`s nature.
