My Wedding Dress At Davids

I had a really great experience at Davids. Being a guy, I wasn`t sure if they would help me. But they didn`t hesitate at all. One lady helped me pick out several gowns and took me to a large dressing room. She helped tie my petticoat and put the gowns on me. Several other salesladies came in and commented and offered suggestions. They picked several other gowns for me to try on along with the appropriate veils. It was such a feminine experience. I bought a beautiful gown and had minor alterations made with no problem. They really made my day wonderful

Congrats to you. Not to be mean, but since you are a minority so to speak, as far as wedding gown shopping goes, maybe these ladies were up to a little more challenge, and had a blast. It is not everyday a guy goes into a bridal shop to purchase a gown!
Good luck to you and your significant other and hope you have a life full of love and laughter!

I bet having a guy to dress up was a nice change of pace from all the whiny little girls who go in there expecting million-dollar service from a budget place. I`m not defending David`s at all, and I don`t intend to use them (or any other "traditional" vendors, for that matter), but I have a a feeling that most of all the problems the girls on these boards keep whining about stem from their unrealistic expectations about what a place like that can offer.

Anyway, you go, Jerry!

Heidi, I have to agree with you on that. I also believe a lot of the "complaints" about David`s are coming from people`s unrealistic expectations about getting married and their wedding day.
