Wedding Contest

I am curious as to what kind of "story" I should tell regarding the Free Wedding Contest?

Any pointers?

Yvette,

ParyPOP is looking for "compelling" stories. There's no one particular type of story. It's probably a case of "we'll know it when we see it". Take some time and care when you write the story. Include the details that really personalize your story. make us feel you as a "real couple". Don't be afraid to include the "hard times" details, the strange turn of events that have affected your relationship, the unusual circumstances that brought you together, or apart for a time, etc.

A compelling story means we feel moved to do SOMETHING when we finish reading it.

Wow, 50 thousand dollars of expenses! That is a very complete list of things PartyPOP provides. I haven't seen another contest like this on the internet as far as a free wedding goes. Wish I was getting married!

I hope we get the full info on this couple whoever wins. I really want to hear their story!

I wonder if you guys have thought of putting the wedding on the internet? Wouldn't that be cool?

Yvette,

If I can offer some advice, take your time and think about what you write. I entered and
now I wish that I can add to mine. I was just floored that this contest was on here. I was
actually shopping for wedding gloves. I read the details and I could not believe it!!!! Then
I began to type and believe me, I could've wrote a book about our relationship.

So again, take your time and good luck to you......

Best Wishes,

Diane

I also submitted my story before I grasped the full scope of things (just a few minutes ago). I understand exactly what you're going through. Now that I have a minute to think about it, and after reading this string, I wish Iwould have added to it. I didn't want to make my story too long, because I didn't want the reader(s) to get bored, or lost. Also, I'm a pretty sarcastic/humorous person and tried to show some personality in my story. I don't know if that's going to work for me, or against me at this point: but I'm trying to look at it this way - second chances in life are rare. Be satisfied with what you are able to submit and don't dwell on if you're not completely happy with the story as you've written it. The more you think about it the more you're likely to get upset and that's the last feeling you should have about your wedding... $50K or no $50K!

To whom it may concern:

Your wedding contest story can now be edited. Simply go to the Free Wedding page using the link on the left and go through the process of loging in.

Once you enter your username and password you will have a link to submit / edit your story.

People can also read your story using the new link on the left so make sure it's nice and readable. HTML codes are not allowed in the stories though.

Good luck,

Jay

The previous messages are from 2000, so I`m thinking the contest might be over...but I`m sure there are more on the internet somewhere.
