HELP! Need A Theme Or Ideas For A

I`m using sage green and chocolate as my wedding colors and looking for great ideas to go along with those colors. Reception will be in someone`s home -- it is a modern-styled home that`s decorated and painted primarily in white. The decor is elegant and crisp, think Metropolitan Home magazine or a NYC gallery.

I love my colors which are perfect for my fall wedding, but think it would be great to have some sort of theme. Already looking at asian themes -- we`re not asians -- I think that`s ok. Some ideas we`ve had to go along with that are: chopsticks or fortune cookies as favors; some sort of bamboo structure or bamboo floral arrangement; an asian water fountain and an asian table serving sushi....blah, blah... Would really love to make this day special and looking for other great ideas for this theme or if you have other great themes to suggest. Also, we`re on a tight budget.

Thanks everyone!!!

Well, maybe Chinese food buffet for the wedding reception? Also you could get those white cardboard take-home boxes that Chinese restaurants use, and put left over wedding cake in them for the guests to take home.

I`m also mixing a fall theme with an Asian theme, even though neither my fiance or myself are Asian. My colors are quite a bit different than yours (wasabi, orange, and red) but maybe we can still swap ideas. You could have bonsai trees for centerpieces, or those little zen gardens with the sand and stones, something fun for the guests to do. If there`s an Asian import store near you, check them out, we`ve gotten lots of great ideas for favors and decorations from the one in our town. Good luck!

Also, what about Chinese-style paper lanterns?
