Decline An Invitation
Hi, just received a wedding invitation along with their wedding list.
I cannot attend the wedding, but I do want to send a gift, will that gift has to be in that list? Do I need to inform them that I will be sending a gift if it is in the list just in case of the duplication?

You don`t have to get something on their list, and you don`t have to tell them you`re sending a gift, I would think you just send it. If they`ve included an RSVP card, send it with your congratulations with the gift if you like. Quite a few people did that for our wedding.
